This should be the last general update prior to Round One on this website. If there are any other items we need to broadcast to the participants, we will push the updates to your phones, email addresses, and the Golf Status App. Make sure you download the GolfStatus app to your phone in order to make sure you are updated and to use it’s excellent GPS hole maps.
Seated Golfers
Final Local Modifications:
- Seated golfers will be allowed to “bump” their ball no more than 2 inches (2″), no nearer the hole, in order to maintain pace of play.
- If you hit a ball into an unmarked bunker, but due to safety issues you feel you can not enter and exit the bunker safely, you can remove your ball from the bunker, take an unplayable lie penalty and adding one stroke to your total score on that hole.
Also for seated golfers, we will mark bunkers on Sunday that may be an issue with golfers with Paragolfers. Bunkers in question, will be marked with irrigation flags. If you hit it into a marked bunker, you can take relief within two club lengths of the point of entry (no closer to the hole), in direct line with the flag, with no penalty.
Other than these exceptions, the Rules of Golf as determined by the USGA shall prevail in all instances. Questions regarding rules should be forwarded to the Tournament Director (520-313-9520), who will confer with the head professional for a ruling .

Note that all scoring for all round will be done with physical scorecards with volunteers entering your scores electronically in GolfStatus at the conclusion of each round. You are encouraged to enter your own scores, however, we will be very aware of pace of play during this event, therefore we will leave it up to the players. Golf Status can be downloaded from your phone’s App Store (available for both iOS and Android) by searching for “Golf Status”. There will be a link within the program with which you can share with family, friends, and social media that will update your standings in real time. Leaderboards will be live feeds to the televisions in the clubhouse, and your smart device with Golf Status installed. We will also have final results on the big screen at FireTruck for the Awards ceremony. Finally, all tee times, updates, and messages will be provided through Golf Status via a pushed SMS message or email to your smart device. You will be able to access your standings and upcoming tee times on the GolfStatus app (upcoming tee times will be available within two hours of the completion of the last round).
